A simple, early-stage recording with lots of mistakes and hesitation. I see it as nothing more than a baseline improvisation from which I can measure my progress. This was recorded 10 January 2009 about 2-3 weeks after I had started to learn the minor pentatonic scale. I have started with the blues lessons from Justin Sandercoe (thanks!) on his amazing website justinguitar.com. I have played acoustic guitar, on and off I must add, for some years. I've had this Yamaha SG400 for even longer but never did learn how to do it justice so it has been in its case for the longest time. My grandson got an electric guitar for Christmas and I have been teaching him most weeks since. I'd like to teach him how to play lead so naturally need to be a few steps ahead and this has given me the incentive to get my SG back out and actually learn to play the thing. Equipment: Yamaha SG400, Yamaha GA15, recorded on Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 camera.
